Series capacitors are an
economical method of reducing the reactance of high and extra high
voltage lines. They produce an improvement in static and dynamic
stability, a reduction in voltage drop, and an increase in power

This Static Var Compensator is
designed for industry. These compensators help to
eliminate such problems as harmonics, voltage fluctuations, unbalance
loads and rapid changes in reactive power that are caused by line
switching, line faults, non-linear components (e.g. thyristor controls)
and rapidly varying active or reactive loads. SVC is designed to give an
individual solution to each customer’s case.
